After careful thought and consideration, ATMV remains open with the same limited hours and the strictest of measures for safety protocols as outlined by the CDC and the State of Texas Health Services.
While we would prefer to abide with fair, consistent and enforceable rules for a level playing-field, it is difficult to watch “business-as-usual” for Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Sams, Costco, Target, and other big-box stores, many which sell the same products we offer. Add to that, liquor stores, restaurant operators & others who chose to remain open.
As small business operators, we have been placed in the middle of a political tug-of-war with confusing and conflicting messages from our city, county, state, & federal leaders. We want to be good citizens. We will follow a clear legal directive for the common-good, when one is established. We’ve done all that is possible to ensure everyone’s safety including our own, to deal this COVID-19 crisis. We will continue to be even more vigilant, as we too have our own families and livelihoods to protect.
In the meantime, we have much in-house work to do as we ramp up our e-commerce offerings to counter the diminished business conditions under COVID, so we’re going to be here anyway. We are not encouraging you to shop. Use your own common sense and judgement, but please adhere to the known safety guidelines and precautions for the difficult pandemic conditions plaguing our community. Thank you for your continued support.
