12 noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2006
Program of speakers to honor Steve at 2 p.m.

El Paso, Texas. A program of speakers including public officials, dignitaries, and colleagues of the late Steve Crosno has been set for the memorial service in his honor on September 10, 2006 at the El Paso County Coliseum (please see page two of this news release).

The memorial is a collaborative effort of numerous volunteers who came together upon hearing of Steve’s death. Most of the costs to produce this event have been generously donated by various individuals and businesses that in some way collaborated with Steve Crosno or were simply touched by his magic.

The entire coliseum will be open from noon to 7 PM to accommodate all mourners who wish to walk through the processional walkway on the main floor. The processional line will be stopped at 1:45PM to prepare for the main program that begins at 2PM and will last about an hour. Very limited seating is available on the floor, but the rear floor area will be open for standing room only. A surprise 8-minute Crosno Video from 2001 will be aired at 1:55PM with the purpose of moving people along to their seats.

The main table in front of the stage will hold a simple oversized photo of Steve Crosno from 2005, surrounded by flowers and candles. Original comments posted at the website stevecrosno.com during the last month since Steve’s passing will by displayed on poster-sized message quotes throughout the processional area. An endless loop of assorted Crosno photos will be rotated every 15 seconds on two giant screens adjactent to both sides of the stage. Selected oldies from the Crosno era have been carefully selected to complement the memorial tribute.

An artifacts and memorabilia table will include various items related to Steve Crosno, including the original broadcast equipment used to produce his radio show. There will also be authentic clothing, notes, original photos, posters, and awards belonging to Steve Crosno. Julie Lorence, Steve’s longtime “Crosno Hop” performer & guest will be seated in the area.

There will be an opportunity to leave personal notes, messages, or cards to Steve Crosno or his family including donations to the Steve Crosno Memorial fund at the main table in front of the stage.

Honorary Volunteers wearing the black Memorial T-shirt are available throughout the facility for any questions, help, or assistance. These shirts are very limited in quantity and will be sold on a first come first served basis only after the service concludes around 3:15 PM. An 8 page Memorial program will be issued throughout the day. These too are limited in quantity. We ask that mouners pick up only one copy per person to insure that all fans & visitors throughout the day have a chance to pick up this great lasting remembrace to our friend Steve Crosno. Extra copies of the program may be dispersed at 6:45PM if available.
