Steve Crosno will make a personal appearance at All That Music, 1506-D Lee Trevino on Sunday, September 4 to autograph CD copies of a historic live musical event that was held in his honor in 1967. Crosno will be in attendance from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Store hours of operation at All That Music on Sundays are 12 noon to 6 p.m.
The featured recording, “Steve Crosno Day – Live at the El Paso County Coliseum – July 9, 1967,” has long been regarded by El Paso area music collectors as one of the hardest ever to find. It contains music by seven of the region’s most popular R&B bands at the time: Sonny Powell and The Night-Dreamers, The El Paso Premiers, The Las Cruces Starliners, The El Paso Drifters, The Las Cruces Majestics, The Impressions, and The Gene Willis Aggregation.
Steve Crosno will be the beneficiary of the net proceeds on sales of the newly
re-mastered live recording.
The CD will retail for a minimum suggested donation of $14.99. The public is encouraged to make additional contributions to Crosno, who has been beset by various medical and economic issues in recent years.
All musicians or performers involved in the original recording are encouraged to attend for an informal reunion with Crosno. Those artists may also claim a complimentary copy of the CD. A guestbook will be available to be signed by the public and fans may reminisce with Steve Crosno while taking advantage of personal photo opportunities.
Steve Crosno will also be in attendance at the Fiesta De Las Flores on Monday, September 5, from 6-9PM where copies of the CD, posters and autographs by Crosno will again be available.
